Install in three steps
Step 1
Download
Tap "Download for Android". Your browser saves the file
bisotun-wallet.apk. When the download finishes, tap the notification or open it from your Downloads. Chrome may ask "File might be harmful. Download anyway?"; it shows this for every app file downloaded outside an app store, so it is expected here. If you are unsure, check the file against the fingerprints under Security and authenticity.Step 2
Allow installation if Android asks
Because the app does not come from an app store, Android may say that your browser is not allowed to install apps. Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source for the browser you just used, and go back. You only need to do this for that one app.
Step 3
Install and open
Tap Install, then Open. Choose a PIN of 5 digits (or a longer one, up to 16). The app may offer to link an email address; that option is coming soon, so you can skip it for now.
Why does Android ask for permission?
Android protects you from apps that are installed without your knowledge. Apps that do not come from an app store need your explicit permission, given per source, for example "Chrome may install apps".
Granting it for the browser you used to download Bisotun Wallet is safe as long as you only install files you meant to download, from a site you trust. You do not need to change any other security setting, and you should never turn off protections such as Google Play Protect. After installing, you can switch "Allow from this source" off again in your phone's settings.
If Play Protect shows a warning about an unknown app, this is because Bisotun Wallet is not distributed through Google Play yet. Check that you downloaded the file from this page, and compare the fingerprints under Security and authenticity if you want to be sure.

To update, download the latest version from this page and install it over the existing app. Because every version is signed with the same Bisotun key, Android keeps your cards and settings.

Security and authenticity
- Where the file comes from. The only official source is this page,
https://wallet.bisotun.app/download/, served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Do not install copies sent through messaging apps or found on other websites. - Who signed it. The app is signed with Bisotun's release key. Android installs updates only if they are signed with the same key, so nobody else can publish an "update" that replaces your wallet.
- How to check. The file's checksum and the signing certificate's fingerprint are published below. If you want to be certain, compare them with the file you downloaded; they must match exactly.

What can I do after installing?
Manage your wallet account
Log in to your own My Bisotun page the same way. There you can see when your wallet was used and delete your wallet account if needed.
Keep your cards under your control
Your cards stay on your phone. Every request shows what is asked, and nothing is shared until you approve it in your PIN-protected wallet.
